I’m an entrepreneur at heart. At least I think I am, but I guess it has to do with the definition of the word entrepreneur. For me it’s a person who constantly has ideas, sees business opportunities and that follows through with the idea by starting an actual business.
I think that so many of us have the opportunity to become an entrepreneur in one way or another, but it’s far from all that make their ideas come to life.
Why don’t more people follow their dreams and start a side businesses of their own?
Is it lack of time, money, or confidence?
Is it due to a worry of what friends and/or colleagues might say or think?
Is it too many hurdles on the way from an idea to an actual business?
Some time ago when I was presented with a golden ticket from my previous employer. I took that once in a life time chance of a sabbatical, and decided to invest and challenge myself in different ways to stay creative ond sharp, but also to be able to follow a dream (or two..), learn for the future and enjoy the journey! I decided to dedicate most of my time to the entrepreneurial side of me. Now, with almost a year in, I have managed to transform a few of my biggest hobbies in to small businesses/side hustles 😎
The past year has been a joyride! I’ve seen places I never thought I would see. I’ve met people I never thought I would meet, and I’ve done things I never thought I would do – and it’s all due to the side hustles I now have. I’m forever grateful for this opportunity in the midst of my life that has given me confidence, energy and a lot of new learnings.
With batteries recharged I’ve started to look for my next real job challenge, and thats why I now write to you, dear network:
